Introduction

Hello, this is my first official post for my blog 'the avid reader'. What exactly is the avid reader you may ask. Let me tell you. I love to read, anything fiction. In fact, since the beginning of this year I have read over 80 different books. Which, may not be very many for a lot of you. But, considering that I work full time and I am finishing up my degree while still balancing another part time job and a few children. I am rather proud of my accomplishment. So, back to my reason for starting this blog. After discovering the large amount of books I have read this year I decided to start a blog. I don't know if I would call it a review blog as much as a blog explaining my take on each of the different books/stories that I read.

Please keep in mind this can be anything from teen romance novels to fantasy or sci-fi. I also love the journey of stories in general. This means that some of what I review here may be manga or webtoons as well. Many of the books that I find I locate on websites such as Good Reads, Clean Media Users, Clean Pages and Bookbub. Also, being the poor college student that I am, most all of the books that I list here are free with a kindle unlimited subscription.

So, I hope that you will stay tuned for my first upcoming book reviews. Also, I am always looking for new book suggestions! So, if you have a book you have read that you love please let me know so that I can add it to my bookshelf!
